How a BlockBusters run works

The whole idea fits in four lines. The full rules cover resets, deaths and every way chat can pay.

  1. You get a block goal

    A classic run starts at 10,000 blocks. Every block you mine counts toward it.

  2. Viewers push it further away

    One bit adds one block. A Landmark Coin, a Kick or a cent adds one too, so a big cheer is a big wall of extra work.

  3. Effects land in your world

    Each payment sets off an effect. It can be a Zap, explosive homing chickens, cows that chase you, a nuke or a tsunami.

  4. You catch the goal

    The run ends when you mine your way to it. Runs go on for days of play, and chat can keep moving the goal the whole time.

What chat can do to you

Effects start at 15 coins and run up to a few thousand. One coin is one cent. The streamer can change any price or pause any effect.

These are starting prices. Nuke and Tsunami change the world for good, so you decide which effects stay on.

Get BlockBusters in five steps

The setup page estimates about 10 minutes. Landmark Desktop installs the mod for you.

  1. Connect your stream

    Sign in with Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok or Rumble. It takes one click.

  2. Set up payouts

    Stripe sends your share to your bank. You can finish this later and still go live.

  3. Install Landmark Desktop

    The Windows app adds the mod and launches Minecraft Java Edition. Windows may warn that the app is unsigned. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

  4. Pick BlockBusters

    Start a world, open the MineControl menu and choose the mode.

  5. Go live

    Chat pays and the effect lands in your world.

What is BlockBusters?

BlockBusters is a Minecraft challenge mode where the streamer mines toward a block goal and viewers push that goal further away. Every bit, Landmark Coin, Kick or cent adds one block, and each payment sets off an effect in the streamer's world. The run ends when the streamer catches the goal.

What is MineControl?

MineControl is the free Minecraft mod behind BlockBusters. It runs on Minecraft Java Edition, listens for viewer payments and plays the matching effect in your world. Landmark Desktop installs it and keeps it updated.

How much does it cost?

The mod is free and setup is free, with no subscription. When a viewer's payment sets off an effect, Landmark keeps 20% and the streamer keeps 80%. A plain card tip that sets off nothing carries a 0% Landmark fee, though card processing from Stripe still applies. The full table is on the fees page.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows PC, Minecraft Java Edition, and a channel on Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok or Rumble. The mod targets Minecraft Java 26.2 with the Fabric loader, and Landmark Desktop installs the loader and the mod for you.
